Wotton Art Exhibition 2025 – I’m Exhibiting Again!

I'm delighted to share that three of my recent paintings will be on display at this year’s Wotton Art Exhibition, taking place on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August 2025 at Under the Edge Arts, Wotton-under-Edge.

This friendly and much-loved event showcases a wide variety of original work from talented local artists — and I’m pleased to be taking part again this summer.

My Paintings on Show

Here’s what I’ll be exhibiting:

🖼️ Courts Garden, Holt

Acrylic on canvas board – £95

This piece captures a moment of peace and gentle colour at The Courts Garden, a National Trust property near Bradford-on-Avon. I was particularly drawn to the white bridge and the soft interplay of light and shadow beneath the trees. It’s a rich scene, full of texture and depth.

🌅 Sunrise, Commonmead Lane

Gouache and ink – £75

A familiar walk near my home, this

early morning scene shows the sun just lifting above the hedgerows, with bare winter branches etched against the sky. I wanted to capture that brief moment of stillness and light before the day properly begins.

🌄 Sunrise, St John’s Way

Gouache and ink – £75

This is another local scene, painted from a walk along St John's Way on a frosty morning. The sun rises beyond the tree line, casting shadows across the verge. The graphic contrast of black branches and warm light is something I’ve explored a lot in my recent work.

The Wotton Art Exhibition is a popular annual showcase held at Under the Edge Arts in the Chipping Hall. It’s a welcoming and inspiring weekend event that brings together artists and visitors from across the region. Original work is available to view — and buy — in a relaxed, creative setting.
